Our history
The Cataract Clinic, Refractive Surgery and Projects (CCCRP) is the culmination of more than 70 years of experience and dedication to visual health, born from the legacy of Centro Láser, the first specialized ophthalmology center in the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1947 by Dr. Oscar R. Batlle Morel, Centro Láser quickly became a national and international reference, thanks to its innovation and commitment to excellence in ophthalmology.
CCCRP represents the natural evolution of this legacy, adapting to the demands of the 21st century with a hyper-specialized approach. Inspired by trends in the United States and Europe, where subspecialty clinics focus on specific procedures, Dr. Juan Batlle decided to found CCCRP with the goal of offering a highly specialized level of ophthalmic care. This new concept focuses on cataract and refractive surgery, the most common and in-demand procedures today.
With the most advanced technology and a team of highly trained specialists, the CCCRP guarantees a safe and efficient experience, comparable to the best international centers. Here, patients receive personalized attention, from their arrival at the center through postoperative follow-up, ensuring not only excellent visual results, but also a satisfactory and hassle-free experience.
